Kineticards are augmented reality greeting cards that use their free app to enable augmented reality to bring the card to life.
The problem? Not everyone wants to download an app before purchasing the card they want. So how do we show customers what the card looks like in AR to lead to a better purchase decision in an interesting way?
We utilize one of the most popular social media platforms: Snapchat. By putting a Snap Code for our Snap Lens on the packaging of the related card, we can use snapchat to display what the card looks like when it comes to life in Augmented Reality.
Oh and bonus: once people unlocked the 24 hour snap lens, they shared it with friends and tagged Kineticards. So not only did we educate users on our products, but we generated UGC from our followers.
OH YEAH, SO WHAT IS KINETICARDS AND HOW DID I GET INVOLVED?
Oh and if you like buzzfeed articles
Check out this Bored Panda article I wrote about Kineticards to share how they are revising the Treat-Yo-Self mindset. I originally wrote it for Buzzfeed, but they took it down within 24 hours cause it was an advertisement... Guess the intent behind the article was on point.
